Talking With My Dog So, I’m driving down the road Talking to my dog in the backseat. Having a great conversion. A bit one-sided I’ll admit. I tell him what is going on inside my head. He seems interested. “I’m very lucky, Henry. I know it's not all luck but I appreciate all I've been given and all I've accomplished. I've made it to the mountaintop. Even better, I've made it safely back down. Funny thing about success, Is you want to climb again.” Henry stares out the rear driver side window at the car traveling beside us. Pretty sure he's still listening. “Feels like my passion is to help others make the climb. Although I am doing some of that even now. Yet seems like something is missing. ” Henry thinks about it as he preens his tail. “As a dog you get to be a dog. I guess if I knew what I was I could be that.” Henry barks once then lays down and contemplates the situation. We drive in silence the rest of the way home.
